The Social Pillar

The farm will be run as a social business. A social business or enterprise is an economically self-sustaining venture designed to solve social problems with all profits returning to the business. All the income of the farm will be dedicated to financing the operation of the farm and to providing an income to program participants.

Our goal is for the farm to be financially independent and stable within three years of operation primarily through sales of the produce at our farmers’ market and through local household delivery to homes, while we have an agreement with Israel’s largest organic produce distributor to purchase any remaining items.

It is our expectation is that following the assessment of the therapeutic program’s success, the State of Israel will finance the costs of the treatment of the veterans of its security forces.
